Picture Folder Requirements:
- Web Page Builder creates a Web Page for every ".jpg" picture it finds in the folder you run it in. Therefore, you should only have the ".jpg" pictures you want to create Web Pages for in the folder you run Web Page
Builder in.
- Web Page Builder links to the "index.htm" page as the Home Page. Therefore, the folder you run Web Page Builder in must contain an "index.htm" page as the Home Page. Web Page Builder will create the "index.htm"
page if it does not exist. But, it will not overwrite an existing "index.htm" page.
- You can modify the "index.htm" page to suit your needs. But, you should put all your graphic links and thumbnails in separate folders. See rule one above for the reason.

13. I upgraded to a higher version of Web Page Builder. Do I have to un-install the previous Version?
- You don't have to un-install the previous version of Web Page Builder to install the new version.
- The upgraded version will function just like your previous version.
- I do suggest you un-install the previous version once you have the new version installed and functioning to eliminate confusion.
- Be sure you un-install the correct version.
- In fact, I suggest you save a copy of the "wpbldr_d.zip" file in a separate folder just in case. As the "unstal_d.bat" program deletes all the Web Page Builder files in the "wpbldr_d" folder. That way you can re-install
the program if you goof.

15. Why does Web Page Builder rename my pictures?
- Web Page Builder uses a sequential implementation to display the next or previous picture.
- Therefore, the pictures have to be in a sequential numeric order which can be increased or decreased by one.
- You can take advantage of this by naming your pictures in the order you want them displayed - see Question 16.
- Then run the "Create_d.exe" file again in that folder to display them in the order you have specified.
- Go back to the list of questions - Top
16. How do I rename my pictures so they are displayed in the order I want them?
- Use Microsoft Explorer to display the folder and file names of the pictures you want to rename - see Question 6 for help.
- Right click on the picture file you want to rename to highlight it.
- Press the "F2" function key at the top of your keyboard to rename the file or
- Right click on the file name and select "Rename" from the menu in the small window which pops up.
- Type in the new name for the file and Press "Enter".
- Be sure the file name still has the ".jpg" extension when you're done - note the period before ".jpg".
- When your done, open "Create_d.exe" in this folder to accommodate your changes.
- Example: If you want to have "pic001.jpg" displayed as "pic005.jpg" and "pic005.jpg" displayed as "pic001.jpg", you could rename "pic001.jpg" as "pic0051.jpg" and then rename
"pic005.jpg" as "pic001.jpg" to have them sorted correctly.
- Special Note: Even though you can use up to 255 characters for a file name in Windows, the operating system Web Page Builder uses only recognizes file names of eight characters or less. Therefore, only use file names of eight characters or less if you
want them to be sorted correctly. For example a file named "Charolette01.jpg" and a file named "Charolette02.jpg" may be displayed in the proper order in Windows Explorer. However, because "Charolette02" and
"Charolette01" are greater than eight characters, they may not be sorted correctly. When these two files are sorted, the first one that was saved will become the first file in the sorted order. So, if "Charolette02.jpg" was saved before
"Charolette01.jpg", "Charolette02.jpg" will be renamed as "pic001.jpg" and "Charolette01.jpg" will be renamed as "pic002.jpg" in the sorted list.
- Moral: keep the file names eight characters or less.
- Note: You can also use the above renaming method to change a folder's name.

17. If I purchase an upgraded Version of Web Page Builder, can I run the upgraded Version in the same folder I already ran the previous Version in?
Yes, you can run any Version of Web Page Builder in the same folder you have pictures in as often as you please.
For example: If you run the Demo Version which displays "Demo" in the Title and an upgrade line,
- You can Purchase the Standard Version and run it in the same folder as you ran the Demo Version without deleting any files. The new version will automatically overwrite
the old pages. It will not change or overwrite the "index.htm" page in that folder if it exists. Therefore, any changes you made to the original "index.htm" page will still exist after you run the new version.
- You should uninstall the previous version once you have the new version working to avoid confusion. But, you don't have to.
- You can also rename, add or delete pictures in that folder and run the "Create_d.exe" again to accommodate your changes.
- If you want Custom Web Pages with banner links, be sure to Purchase the Custom Version.
- Or, upgrade from the Standard Version to the Custom Version here.
