Pagehand has flying toolbars that zoom in from the side to replace the default toolbar.
Flying toolbars allow you to edit sections, column layouts, and tables.
You work with a flying toolbar by choosing what object you want to work with, then choosing what setting you wish to modify, and then modifying the setting using the controls provided.
Every flying toolbar shares the same basic layout. On the left, there is a popup menu for selecting the particular object you wish to edit. We call this the scope menu. In the middle there is a popup menu for choosing the particular setting you want to modify, or the action you want to take. On the right there are one or more controls for modifying the chosen setting.
Flying toolbars control a large number of settings while using very little space. Best of all, the settings are always spelled out; you don’t have to interpret little icons.
When you choose an item in the scope menu, it updates the action menu. When you choose an item in the action menu, it displays the controls you need for modifying that setting. Some action menus contain commands that you perform. Commands are grouped together at the bottom of the menu. For example, the action menu for the Tables Toolbar provides the command Delete the table.
When you modify a setting, the new setting takes effect immediately.
To return to the default toolbar, click anywhere in the main body of your document.
